About DCPS
Dakota County Paranormal Society is a group of men and women committed to the study, research and investigation of the paranormal.
We conduct investigations from two angles, first, by the human experience, and second, by the use of science and technology. We look for scientific proof to back the human experience and use the human experience to back the technology. We treat all cases we investigate with respect and without any pre-conceived notions of what you may have experienced. We take pride in what we do. We love what we do.
How much do we charge for an investigation?
DCPS charges nothing for investigations. We feel that there are not "experts" on the paranormal because most of our understanding is theories. We are a non-profit organization and we do not except money or donations. Just knowing that we could help someone is enough for us.
How do I schedule an investigation of my home or business?
First please contact Gary the case manager by phone 612-209-6874 or by email at contact.dcps@yahoo.com. We will then give you a call and set up a phone interview that last 30 minutes so we can gather as much information as possible. We will then decide if the case has merit or can be explained by logical everyday occurrences. We will then call you and schedule an investigation date that works around your availability. Cases involving kids take first priority.
Does DCPS cleanse or perform spirit removal?
We do not clense or do spirit removal. We feel that this should be done by people who know what they are doing. DCPS can put you in contact with people who deal with those types of services.
Does DCPS allow guests or observers on investigations?
Although we appreciate your enthusiasm, unfortunately we do not. We do allow media to observe during an investigation.
When DCPS is looking for investigators, there will be information on our homepage. We have an application to fill out and then we will conduct an interview in person or by phone.
Website Information
How do I become a member of the DCPS Fan Club?
There is a sign up link on our menu bar. It takes only a minute or two.
What are the benefits of being in the fan club?
You create your own profile file page that can include info about yourself, invite friends, and chat with other members as well as DCPS investigators either on public posts or by private messages. Also being a member gives you heads up on new content of the site and when we are looking for new investigators to join the DCPS team before the public is informed.
How do I get on the links page?
DCPS is always willing to support other groups and organizations. Please email Gary at contact.dcps@yahoo.com with your info and web address. We will review your site and decide if it is something we would advertise ourselves. We ask that you post our banner on your site in return.
General
Of course we will. We are always interested in seeing other peoples photos and giving our feedback. We do this all the time. We always value another ones opinion when we have our own photo's to decipher.
I think I have an EVP, would DCPS take a listen?
Again, of course we will. Sometimes EVP's are plain as day and other times you hear something but just can't make it out. We would be happy to take a listen
I'm thinking of starting my own team. How do I begin?
Starting and running a team takes dedication but it's easier than you might think. We would love the opportunity to help you get your own group off the ground. Just drop us a line and we would be happy to help.
